On this day, in 2003, Obsidian Entertainment was founded. Obsidian was born out of the demise of Black Isle Studios, the team responsible for the original Fallout games, Fallout and Fallout 2, as well as the Baldur's Gate series.
Current projects in development at Obsidian include Aliens: Crucible (on hold), Alpha Protocol, as well as Fallout: New Vegas.
