Locally, tonight on E-TV at 8:00 PM, they’re showing the first Die Hard. In my opinion this is the best in the series. I just watched Die Hard 4.0 (Live Free or Die Hard) the other night on DSTV, and although it’s not bad, I still like the first movie best.

Bruce Willis (when he still had a little hair) plays John McClane, an NYPD police officer who travels to Los Angeles, to the Nakatomi Plaza to visit his wife, who John finds has reverted to her maiden name, Genero, during their separation after marital difficulties.

While John is at the plaza, terrorists storm the building and take the employees ay a Christmas party hostage. The terrorists are led be Hans Gruber (brilliantly played by Alan Rickman). Cue John McClane who, without backup, takes on the terrorists.

It’s nail-biting, bloody fun, and the perfect holiday film, topped with a Christmas theme. But it’s not your typical Christmassy film, so if you’re tired of the usual slushy rubbish that shows at this time of year, then you’ll enjoy this for sure. Over twenty years later and this is still one of the best action films ever made.

Actor's Ring Name in TV Show Borrowed from Fallout 3

See a resemblance?

I saw something interesting the other night. It was on ECW, the wrestling show. Yes, I do watch it from time to time in the background while I'm busy blogging or doing something else online. In fact, I have a blog about WWE and all the crazy things that go on.

They had this guy come into the ring and host a interview show sort of like Oprah or something. He looked so ridiculous because his head was shining all over- maybe it was the grease or whatever this guy dunks his head in, and his hairline looked as though it had been drawn with a pencil and filled in with some spray or something.

Anyway, that wasn't the funniest bit. In an attempt to make his dorky looking (and sounding) character have more personality, they gave him a name- Abraham Washington. Not only is this made up of two of America's most famous presidents- George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, but it's also the name of a character from Fallout 3.

If you've played the game, and you travelled to Rivet City, chances are you would have bumped into an old white guy, the curator of the museum aboard that aircraft carrier. His name is the same- Abraham Washington.

I wonder if it's just coincidence, or if one of their writers is a big fan of the game? Maybe he's a fan of the game. It says that he's going for a presidential-like character. In any case, I prefer the old Abraham Washington guy from F3 to this tw@t.

At least it's not as bad as some of his other ring names, like Abraham Obama Washington, or Abraham Saddam Washington!

The guy's real name is Brian Jossie.

On this day in 2002, Motörhead’s album, Hammered, was released. The most famous songs on this album are Serial Killer, which basically acts as an intro for the next song, The Game. The Game is the entrance theme for WWE’s Triple H, otherwise known as The Game.

Oh joy, today is the day that the movie 12 Rounds is released in the USA. It’s yet another movie with a WWE star in it, in this case, John Cena, with WWE producing it. We all remember The Marine, you know. It seems very few of these types of movies are actually any good, but you can trust the fans to go and see it.

The thing is that it's directed by Renny Harlin, who actually has some good movies under his belt, like Mindhunters and The Long Kiss Goodnight. The fact that there aren't any well known stars in it besides Cena probably means that it will be average at best though.

There are ads all over local TV that state that SA will get a chance to see 12 Rounds in about a week's time.
