On this day in gaming, in 1995, The Ultimate Doom was released. It was the full version of Doom, plus a fourth episode, "Thy Flesh Consumed", even though Doom had initially been released on December 10, 1993-but that was the shareware version.
The Ultimate Doom was the second major game in the Doom series to be commercially released, after Doom II: Hell on Earth, in 1994.
