On this day in gaming, the expansion for Doom 3, Resurrection of Evil, or RoE, was released in 2005. This expansion featured a few new enemies and of course players were reacquainted with the double-barreled shotgun that made its first appearance in Doom II: Hell on Earth. The game came under a bit of criticism for featuring the grabber, which was an emulation of Half-Life 2’s physics cannon.
